Age spots are caused by sun damage, hormones and genetics. They are often brown in colour but can be red or almost black. They are generally harmless but can make you feel self-conscious as they can stand out. Age spots usually occur in adults over 40, but younger people can be prone if they spend a lot of time in the sun.

Prevention is always better than cure, and age spots can be prevented by making sure you wear at least an SPF of 30+ when outdoors, (even if the sun isn’t out as UVA light levels are always present). At NSC Clinics we offer skincare products that can protect your skin. Please check out our skincare products page to find out more.

"I have suffered with bad skin since I was a teenager. NSCC recommended a course of skin peels for me and the only word I can use to describe them is WOW!! I could see a real difference after the first treatment, and I'm over the moon with the results. I would recommend them to everyone. "

"I had the Light Peel at NSCC in my lunch hour. My skin felt so refreshed without any peeling so I could go straight back to work with a gorgeous glow. "
