Are the slimming pills safe?
Yes; all of our medication is prescribed by a doctor who will give you a mini health screening before to check that you are suitable for our medication. We only prescribe safe and effective medication, most of which are appetite suppressants with a history of success to help weight loss and treat obesity by increasing one or more brain chemicals that affect mood and appetite. If you would like to find out more information on our medication, please book your free consultation with one of our doctors.
Do I have to change my diet whilst on the medication?
During your consultation, the doctor will issue you with a diet guide and advise you on a healthy eating plan. The quality of your everyday diet is improved by reducing the amount of foods and drinks that are high in calories, fats and sugars that you consume. These are replaced by healthier options that are high in fibre, proteins and nutrients.
Do I have to exercise whilst taking the medication?
Gently increasing activity levels is a desired part of obesity treatment plans. By gradually introducing various exercises including walking, aerobics, swimming and so on, slimmers increase their metabolic rate, become more active in life and improve their general wellbeing and energy levels which in turn leads to faster, more effective weight loss.
What medication do you prescribe?
Two of the slimming medications that we offer are Phentermine and Diethylpropion that act as appetite suppressants. Your lifestyle, medical history and mini health check will depend on what medication our doctor will prescribe to you.
Am I overweight?
There is an easy way to find out whether you are obese or overweight – Body Mass Index (BMI). Check your BMI by using our calculator. If your BMI is over 30, you are classified as obese. The best obesity treatment and the major factor in reducing your health risks in the future is to lose weight and maintain weight loss long term. It is necessary to modify your diet and lifestyle to achieve successful long term weight loss.
